Skip Block Foundation
In the early 1980's, Dr. Blaine "Skip" Block founded the Regional Cancer Center where teams of cancer specialists treated patients in a setting dedicated to cancer therapy. Later, in 1986, as President of the county's medical society, he played a key role in bringing together 130 area physicians willing to provide free care to needy seniors through a program co-sponsored by the medical society and the Senior Citizen Center of the Greater Dayton Area. In this spirit, the "Skip Block Foundation" has been created to carry on Dr. Block's interest in helping those with cancer. As stated in the mission statement of the Foundation:
"The purpose of this Foundation is to assist individuals, without or with limited health insurance, with their medical bills. Assistance will be primarily given to post surgical cancer patients."
Your tax-deductible contribution to the Skip Block Foundation in memory of Dr. Block is greatly appreciated. Please contact Dan Young, Foundation Administrator at (937) 496-2620 ext. 448 for further information.
